Get to know Eliza Marie

Me, taking some photos of beautiful scenery, photo credit Michelle Stevenson.
My name is Eliza Burford [formerly Olmstead]. I picked up my first camera at the age of 3 and since then have developed a love for the art of photography. Aside from music, photography is one of my greatest passions and I strive to become a better photographer with each session I'm able to shoot. I've done weddings, infants, toddlers, senior photos, couples, families, etc. I love what I do and I enjoy having fun with my gift and passion. My goal is to give people portraits that are fun, candid and memorable with a hint of a vintage feel to them. I'm excited to start branching out on my own and exploring the world of photography with a new perspective, a new style and a new name. If you're interested in booking a session with me, please contact via email  [elizamarie_photos@yahoo.com]  or phone (602) 312-3342.
I was about 3 years old in this photo.
Other things about me that you may find interesting, or you may not, but I do. I have an amazing husband who cares about me more than I could ever have asked for. I grew up in the rainy city [aka Seattle, WA] where I still have family and many great friends. I'm the oldest of 4 kids and someday I hope to have wonderful children of our own. I have lived in Phoenix since Sept 2008 [I totally thought I was going to die the day I flew in and it was 104 outside!] and now I love it here. I shoot with Canon only [because I deserve the best ;) ]. I sing and play guitar, and I dabble a bit with the keyboard but nothing special there.  My favorite movie is a toss up of Disney movies [probably Beauty and the Beast though]. Potatoes and/or popcorn are the equivalent of my comfort food, but I can eat them anytime of day. My dad is one of my best friends and he lives in Florida. I have a shoe obsession but I refuse to spend tons of money on one pair of shoes, so I bargain shop and wait for really good sales. I hate dresses but I wear them because they always make me feel pretty. I've secretly wanted to learn how to play the drums, but don't have to patience to really take the time.
Well, I hope you enjoy the blog! Take your time to view future postings and be sure to contact me if you would like to book a session.
